Even with the developments of new mixed flow and hybrid flow technology, inline centrifugal fans are still the preferred choice for growers. You may ask why? It is simply down to centrifugal fans having the ability to handle the airflow resistance generated by hydroponic carbon filters and long duct runs. The Black Orchid Centri-flo™ fan is no exception, it has a generous maximum airflow of up to 250 m3/hour against a staggering 370 Pa resistance. This renders the fan almost ‘stall proof’ as it far out performs it’s RVK Systemair and Ruck alternatives.

The Black Orchid Centri-flo has a built-in temperature control. The built-in temperature and speed control feature allows more control over your environment when you are not around. This protects your plants from the stresses of increased heat by increasing fan speed to full if things get hot and humid. The extractor fan will control the heat in your room by automatically ramping up the speed of the air in relation to temperature. Simply position the external probe in your grow room or tent, set your desired temperature on the fan and adjust the speed to the minimum required setting. The fan will then maintain constant airflow unless the temperature rises. If the temperature rises above the set point, the fan will kick in to full speed. When the temperature drops, the fan will ramp down to normal speed again.
